me von n lin met up today for an early dinner at cedele wheelock. lin rec. us the pancakes!cool superb!the apple n cinnamon with maple syrup n sausages were really of standard!!yum yum! n so us the trio ate chatted gossipped etc etc. i really enjoy such mtgs with frans..its really a luxury to see them!!yes!im happy:)
with us studying different fields, its really enriching to noe bt them..yah our dearest weilin is an architecture student n so with the 2 of us-accountant by training, its indeed an 'enlightening' session! some details bt archi, the way the profession works, some principles etc..n im very impressed by the stories lin told us bt singapore's past, the politics the govt. the school..gd knowledge. at least it made me see things from a different light. n so we delved into pay, promotion opportunities..endless!
we all realise tt the stuff which we talked bt during meetups are very different from what we used to cover..its all bt the jobs, job prospect etc. me realised tt topics differ when im with different frans...with daph, it will be bt boys, jobs..with von n lin no rships involved..tt goes with shan too..think i can sense the gap bet. us n our guy frans..a bit weird..mb dey aint at the same phase in life as us?so we toked bt diff things n haf differing interests?or issit jus purely communication gaps?haha..mei was complaining dat her guy frans frm jc r childish after attending her fran's 21st bdae. mb? as for me its bt accomodating i guess
was discussing bt relying on connections. yah, we can be angry bt it but we cant help it right?whu wun wanna leverage on such opportunities if dey haf a chance? sometimes lifes bt relying on such. 70% hard wrk 30% connections..so lifes unfair? yes i mus say it is! so we can complain till the cows come home, this will exist no matter what..whu noes we wun be the one dependent on it in the future?
yeah! 1st july is set to be joining a 4km run with von's religion stuff...aint sure bt the details..haha..nvm lahs..me shall jus whack!gt to exercise, so y not!
